Throughout the year, the New Canaan Beautification League offers a variety of educational programs, hands-on workshops, garden tours, and special events designed to inspire a love of gardening, conservation, and community beautification. Annual Meeting – Smarter Gardening, Lorraine Ballato

In this inspiring and practical talk, you’ll discover ways to rethink your garden design and techniques to reduce maintenance—freeing up more time to actually enjoy your outdoor space and the rest of your life.
Lorraine Ballato is an Advanced Master Gardener known for her expertise and enthusiasm. An instructor at the New York Botanical Garden, she is widely recognized as a leading hydrangea expert. Lorraine also teaches in the Connecticut Master Gardener Program and for the Federated Garden Clubs of Connecticut. A respected horticulturist, author, and speaker, she shares her passion through lectures, social media, articles, and photography, with her work featured in publications such as Connecticut Gardener and Edible Nutmeg.
