DESCRIPTION:Douglas Dubler\, an internationally acknowledged fashion\, beauty and find art photographer\, will speak to us about his upcoming book "iridescence - The Art of the Iris".  It will be a discussion of his photo shoot at the Presby Memorial Iris Garden and the production of his book by the same name.  He will discuss techniques and specific approach to photographing flowers.  Douglas seamlessly joins craft and creativity to produce some of the most memorable images! He is acknowledged as one of the industry's leading color management experts and specializes in fine art digital printmaking and for the last six years he has been teaching floral photography at the NYBG.\n\n\n\nHe plans to bring several copies of his to be released book and can take orders if members are interested. \nNew Canaan Library–new auditorium\, 9:30-11:30AM

DESCRIPTION:Our residential gardens have historically relied on exotic plants\, selected for their unique qualities and aesthetic addition to the landscape. We are now aware of the benefits of native plants and cannot overlook their use.\n\n\nThis program will take us to the next step in our garden by not only highlighting the environmental and health benefits of native plants\, but will show how we can successfully include them in our landscape designs. Louis Fusco will present case studies and planting design layouts so you can see practical applications of adding native plants to your yard.\n\n\nFree of charge. Registration required.
